A black liberal Texas politician responding to the catastrophic flooding in her state, a disaster which has resulted in many deaths, among them young children attending camp alongside the Guadalupe River, said in that she had no sympathy for an all-white Christian girls camp that excluded people of color.
'Serves them right'. she said. 'Racist bigots done got themselves what they deserved', a statement which she immediately denied and quickly erased from her Twitter feed; but the public was outraged at such a self-serving, hateful, bitter, insensitive comment. 'And', she went on, 'it's that muthafucka Trump's fault.'
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was no less blunt in his comments, saying that blood was on the President's hands. It was he, his henchman Musk, and the whole DOGE operation which gutted the National Weather Service resulting in scattered, sketchy, and uninformed predictions and no early warnings about the trouble ahead.
As absurd as these comments were, they were only the most recent example of the Left's attempt to make something out of nothing, to take untruths - baldly invented, impossible fictions - and claim them as received wisdom. Conflation has been their trademark - since there is something wrong about an all-white Christian girls school (bad enough that it was all white, worse that it was evangelical Christian, and worse still that it was all girls, a distortion of the gender fluid algorithm at the heart of the canon), then there must have been a purposeful, racist, anti-secular, homophobic intent on the part camp ownership and parents.
President Trump when he heard of the woman's rant said, 'There will always be rancid discards in the wings. This cunt...' Trump was increasingly foul in his language after what he said about Israel and Hamas, 'They don't know what the fuck they are doing' and since nobody howled that he wasn't being presidential, he continued, '...and this cunt is a prime example'.
The Democrats ran Kamala Harris' campaign on this very premise. Not only conflation but syllogisms. 'Donald Trump is the most evil occupant of the White House since....' (here Kamala wracked her brain but came up empty except for some recollections of Martin Van Buren)...'since he began his campaign of the evil dislocation of the bureaucracy'. He is evil because he does evil.
Kamala would be a good president because she was black and a woman. She liked to look at herself in the mirror and admire her skin tone - copper-colored with a hint of background native American tints. Perhaps her Jamaican-born father had some Taino blood; or perhaps from her mother's side. The only indigenous tribes of the subcontinent were found not far from her home state, so perhaps they contributed to Kamala's marvelously complex but subtle shades of color, even though they were not exactly redskins like 'our Indians'.
Cleopatra must have looked like me, she thought as she caught herself in profile, or Nefertiti; and I will be great a leader as they were; and so it was that she never budged off that mark, never felt it necessary to tick off her accomplishments. Being a black woman was quite enough, 'an ipso facto' thing, she smiled remembering the phrase from law school.
Law school was tough sledding, but her professors, quite happy to have a black woman in the school, a credit to its policy of inclusivity. She had been a mediocre student at Howard where her father insisted she go, a black legacy university where she would be among her own kind and prepare herself for service to the black community.
In any case, the Kamala Harris story is only meant to illustrate the progressive Left's unconcern with facts. What facts need there be when being a black woman is all the objectivity that one needs to see that it was her time? The poor, marginalized, dispossessed, and disenfranchised need government largesse because they are poor, marginalized, etc. No parsing of underlying dysfunctionality, anti-social behavior, irresponsibility, or a welfare mentality - i.e. the variables that contribute to poverty, marginalization, etc. - is necessary because they are, etc. etc.
Progressive arguments are not circular, they are merry-go-rounds with calliopes, polished horses, carriages, and brass rings. There is no need for linear logic or algorithmic thinking; no call for exegesis or Kantian metaphysical analysis. Things are either good or bad, right or wrong with no need for justification or proof of their veracity.
Poor Joe Biden was losing his marbles and so was shunted aside by Kamala. By the end he was making no sense whatsoever, but American conservatives never noticed because they were used to progressives' rambling, oxymoronic, syllogistic seriousness. Given credit for not jumping on an old man, they never say the difference between his dementia and Kamala Harris' non sequiturs and word salads.
Progressives' vocabulary, thanks to Kamala Harris and her Congressional claques, never went beyond epithets, simply circular homilies, and random associations. Trump was a racist, misogynist, homophobe, period; and the more the accusation was repeated, the truer it became for the speaker.
Most of the electorate said 'Where's the beef', for they saw nothing of the kind in his behavior. The evil Trump was an invention, a fairy tale character, a made-up soap opera villain, a science fiction composite, a Mars Man, a warlock, a gremlin; and the more those characterizations ricocheted back and forth among Washington walls, the more they picked up steam.
Progressives were the political equivalent of Enron and Bernie Madoff, masters at intellectual Ponzi schemes, shell games, and trickery. Madoff convinced investors that there was something there, and when the scheme collapsed the snookered realized there was absolutely nothing. And so it is with Kamala, Bernie Sanders, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, AOC, and all the rest. Convinced that wisdom resides in ideas, not proof nor action, they need never make sense.
Harping on the same memes and the same invocations of righteousness; using smoke and mirrors to create an aura; and hammering away with fiery indignation, tilting at windmills, howling and bellowing with nothing substantive to say, progressives wonder how and why they were sent to defeat by 'that man'.
Billy Graham, spiritual advisor to presidents was a filament of the same spider web, preaching about goodness, offering his blessings, and invoking the divine to assist in the decision making of that political rube, the most corrupt president in American history. His religious fantasies were perfect, symbolic cover for political chicanery.
The Reverend Al Sharpton is his clone, except that he has not one seriously moral, spiritual, or divinely inspired bone in his body. An ambulance chaser as a fat young man, an ambulance-chasing, mulleted, chicken-neck politician he remains. He completes the progressive fictious tableaux with his faux concern for every single black person he has ever met, and the innate, absolute right of progressivism. Because he is black, the fiction of his intelligence and insights is kept alive. Hands off a black man when he is talking nonsense, for you simply don't understand his language.
They simply won't stop, won't for a minute shut up, won't take stock, shape up, and fly right. Half the country knew them for the snake oil salesmen they were and dismissed their cockamamie ideas out of hand, and was glad to see that someone had shut them up; but for some unclaimed, febrile reason they have kept up the nonsense - an unreconstructed cadre of gum-bangers.
MSNBC and CNN have hemorrhaged viewers but have persisted in their show of support for persistent intellectual chicanery of their heroes, and are likely to do so until their ratings drop to zero. Such is the nature of true belief even though, and in this case especially, if it is based on nonsense.
Donald Trump is getting on with the nation's business while the howling, breast-beating, and rending of garments goes on around him. 'Fuck 'em', he says to the fury of Chuck Schumer and his shills; but The Donald is irrepressible and direct. Clear the decks for running, and that includes every last one of you sycophants, he says.
