The inner cities of Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, St. Louis, and Washington, DC are failed, miserable places of murder, assault, rape, and mayhem. They are dysfunctional places where no common rules of civility and decency reign. They fall far behind white neighborhoods in all social indicators. Education levels barely register on the scale, and out-of-wedlock births, infant and child mortality, and literacy are at Third World levels. Rates or arrest and incarceration are disproportionate. Blacks account for thirteen percent of the American population and are responsible for over 85 percent of the violent crimes.
For decades, Americans have been told to ignore these indicators. The black population, long enslaved and oppressed by the white majority, needs time, understanding, resources, and compassion to help it join the majority. In the meantime, white people should look at the street as an expression of black culture, an authentic and soulful cry for legitimacy and acceptance.
Black faces have been everywhere - on every television screen, on every podium, in every public office. This would show the majority that the days of miasmic poverty, crime, and social dysfunction are over.
Of course DEI was nothing but a showpiece, catapulting unqualified candidates into high public positions and before long the old traditions of the ghetto had resurfaced. Fraud, corruption, and chicanery burgeoned and little work got done.
While a few profited and took from the corporate till, the rest of the ghetto stayed put, festered, and got no better, coddled by the liberal mayors elected by them. Crime was rampant and yet the police were defunded, community policing replaced cuffs and billy clubs, and the ghetto was left to its own devices.
When President Trump announced that he would extend his crime-fighting Washington cleanup to other cities, Democratic mayors cried 'fascist', Nazi-style putsch, pogroms, and Kristallnacht. Yet the few good citizens of the inner city applauded the President. They were tired of drive bys, wanton killings, and assault. Yet the mayors resisted. This is a democracy they shouted and we will fight to preserve liberty.
When murders dropped to zero in the Nation's Capital, the Mayor said that the Trump forces had been beneficial and should stay; but the mayor of Chicago dug his heels in and obstinately resisted. This of course did not deter the President and he went full steam ahead knowing that only Washington's progressive shills were opposing him.
For years this black thing has been corrosive, destructive, and divisive. Any sensible American who looks at the inner city and the antisocial behavior it spawns shouts Basta! Years of entitlement and patronization have produced even more irresponsibility. It is time for manning up, individual and community responsibility, accountability.
The same myth of legitimacy persists in the Middle East. Palestine is a failed territory, a broken, unreformed, backward place of terrorism and desperation; and yet millions of progressives demonstrate in support of its demands in an anti-Semitic rant. If they only looked with objective eyes they would see an abominably miserable place held together only through foreign monies.
This same liberal blindness persists in America with regard to its vile inner cities. The shades are finally being pulled up and reality seen for what it is. Crime is endemic in black communities and it is spreading beyond ghetto borders.
'Holy fulminating hell', shouted Bob Muzelle, an old Social Justice Warrior for whom life had been one long struggle for civil rights. 'Blasted thunderous mayhem, whizzing projectiles of hate...'. He sounded like an old Tintin comic book or Popeye, but words had failed him for some time now. The more the President carried on with his fascist, racist schemes, the more words came out in pop art. He had crossed some intellectual Rubicon and there seemed to be no going back.
His wife was increasingly worried. He had been exaggeratedly enthusiastic before, but nothing like this. Was it dementia?
'No, Corinne', he insisted. ‘It is Trump who has gone mad, around the bend, into outer space, not me’, and so he kept up the flurry of DC Comics until his wife shut the door.
And so it was with the fibrillating Left, impossible to stop the fantastical assumptions and conspiratorial suggestions. This crime thing was only the first seemingly innocuous step towards militarization, the takeover of the government, the eradication of democracy.
The entire progressive wing of the Party was coming apart, shaking to the roots, making less and less sense. Meanwhile the President just did what he had promised, to return civility, reason, polity, and common sense to the nation, and ordinary people were applauding
The Reverend Al Sharpton weighed
in:
In an unconscionable act of base motives, racism, and arrogation of power, the President has once again disrespected the black man, enslaving him yet again in the communities white folks have created for people of color, whipping them into submission and obedience. No, brothers and sisters, this will not stand. We will overcome with every fiber of our bodies. We will emerge supreme at the top of the human pyramid, above the white man, at the pinnacle of human development, end, the very perfection of evolution
His MSNBC colleagues smiled with understanding. That's why we have a black man here among us, to disaggregate the Trump tangle and make sense for white Americans.
Of course this man was simply a minor irrelevancy, a quacking shill for the bottom rung of the liberal ladder. Let him blather on, the President said, ambulance-chasing person of no significance whatsoever.
And so the federal troops were amassed on the borders of Chicago with enthusiastic support and only some jeers. 'Come on down', Chicagoans said.
